According to Nirnaysindhu:-

Mantra Mharnv, and ShiMadddevi Bhagwat Puran, this bead empowered with blessings of Lord Vishnu.

According to Jabalopnishad, this has the blessings of 10 direction masters (Yamraj).

This mitigates 9 planets’ dosha and cures the bad effects of Bhram rakshas (Demon).
